A lot goes into achieving your goals and it isn’t enough just wanting to achieve your goal. When your busy, tired or distracted you will feel overwhelmed and won’t want to or feel like you have the energy to stay focused and achieve your goal.
1. Keep notes
Keep notes of everything you do, take not of when you are the most productive, least productive, what causes you to fall behind, how you are feeling and anything that is relevant – you will get amazing insights into when you are the most productive and what circumstances cause you to be the most productive so you can copy the state day-to-day.
2. Consistency is Key
Establish a routine and stick to it daily
3.Breaks are important
Determine your downtime routine, set something boundaries and schedule some downtime. Sometimes we get so busy that we forget to eat, exercise, rest and socialize
Recognize 3 good things that happened during the day. It doesn’t matter how early on in your journey positive reinforcement will replenish your energy for the next day.
5. Recognize and appreciate the now
If your goal is starting to get you down it’s very important to step back a recognize how far you have come and ask yourself are you where you want to be ? Doing what you want ? Is it meaningful ? If the answer is “no” you have your answer and motivation to get back on track
6. Build a support system
If working towards your goal is a solo journey it can get very lonely and you can get stuck in a vacuum. Make sure you tell you support system – friends, family, colleagues, forums, like-minded people on social media what you’re up to so you can have someone to bounce ideas off and turn to in times of struggle and people to share good news with.
